YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED Q. Where would you use a chocolate fountain?
A. Weddings, parties, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate launches and special occasions, christmas parties, sporting events or anywhere else you have a group of people both young and old getting together who love chocolate. The chocolate fountain is guaranteed to be a talking point at any function. Sometimes wedding parties choose a chocolate fountain for their dessert option or wedding cake option - it's a stylish twist on tradition: the Bride and Groom start the chocolate fountain with the first dance AND the first dip!
Q. How long can a chocolate fountain run for?
A. It can run indefinitely as long as it's topped up by our Professional staff.
Q. How long do you supply the chocolate fountain for?
A. provide up to 4 hours of service which includes set up/display and full operating/dismantling of the fountain. The fountain runs continuously for 2 hours for your indulgence. However, this can be extended (please let us know your requirements and we can happily make special arrangements for you).
Q. What kind of chocolate do you use?
A. We import Belgian Couverture chocolate. It has a high cocoa content, which means the chocolate flows smoothly and has a deliciously rich taste and a very silky appearance.
Q. What can be used as dips for the chocolate fountain?
A. Fresh fruits (strawberries, raspberries, kiwifruit, grapes, mandarins, pineapple, apricot, melon), sweets (jelly babies, fudge) and cakes (marshmallows, profiteroles, muffins, doughnuts, sponge fingers) and much more! Feel free to request your personal favourites.
Q. How many people does each size chocolate fountain serve?
A. Our fountain serves from 50 guests up to 300. We cater for most needs. See our range of packages, all of which can be tailored to your requirements.
Q. How does the chocolate get to the top of the fountain?
A. It is propelled upwards by an innovative stainless steel corkscrew, which rotates and carries the melted chocolate from the heated basin to the top. Once it reaches the top the chocolate then cascades down the fountain in an edible waterfall.
Q. How does the chocolate stick to the dips?
A. use special Belgium chocolate known as 'couverture', which translates as 'covering'. The chocolate is specially made with cocoa butter, which gives it the silky texture and covers everything you dip into the fountain with rich luscious chocolate. Divine!
Q. Is the chocolate gluten free?
A. Yes, the chocolate is gluten free. However, some of the dips may contain gluten.
Q. Is the chocolate suitable for people with nut allergies?
A. No, the chocolate may contain traces of nuts.
Q. Can I choose the type of chocolate I want?
A. Yes, you have a choice of Belgian Dark, Milk, or White Chocolate. Milk Chocolate is our most popular choice.
Q. Do I need to set the chocolate fountain up or prepare the chocolate?
A. No. will take care of all the preparation and set up, and at the end of your function/party we will clear the fountain away with no fuss. Our service is designed to be totally stress-free for you, so you can relax and enjoy your event.
Q. Are there any special requirements for the positioning a chocolate fountain?
A. Yes. The ground must be reasonably level and away from any open windows or doors, as strong drafts and wind can blow the chocolate out of the fountain. Away from a dance floor, band or DJ is also very wise. We do ask you /or the premises in which your event takes place to provide us with a sturdy table at least 6 feet long for our set up.
Q. How much space do you need for the fountain?
A. Our standard display is about 4ft round, but you will need additional access space for guests to come up to the table and enjoy the display/indulge in the dips.
Q. What power do you require?
A. The fountain requires 1 standard 13amp socket. We do carry extension leads, however a power supply nearby is needed.
Q. Can I have a chocolate fountain at an outdoor event?
A. It's not recommend you use the fountain outside for 2 reasons.
-The chocolate attracts flying insects
- Breezy winds would disrupt the flow of the chocolate and the effect would not be the same
We would need to ensure that it was in a warm and sheltered spot and/or arrange a gazebo. Please contact us for your special requirements.
Q. How can I pay for the chocolate fountain?
A. We accept cash, cheques and most major credit/debit cards. £50 deposit is required at the time of booking, and full payment is due 4 weeks before your event.
Q. Do you do children's parties or birthdays?
A. Absolutely. Children love chocolate fountains. We can do any festive or celebrative occasion based on your needs - just contact us with your plans.
Q. What areas do you cover?
A. We’re based in south-east Cornwall and we cover all of Devon & Cornwall. However, we are happy to go further afield if need be. Just email or call us with your requirements.
